HOLE #3 The third hole of Founders Club at Pawleys Island is the first of a magnificent collection of par threes. Number three features 8 sets of tees, and unlike most holes with multiple tees, four are located to the far left and four to the far right. Since the tee boxes are located in the shade of Live Oak trees, you will notice some of the teeing areas feature Diamond Zoysia. This strain of grass handles shade very well, and is very close to putting green quality. The hole can play from 106 to 190 yards with a multitude of distances and angles to uniquely challenge you each time you play the hole. The green is set at a slight angle and runs diagonally away from the tee left to right. This makes club selection tricky, and add a lake and greenside bunker to the equation and you will have your hands full.
